You can learn the basics of poker by playing 5 -Card Draw. In poker, players use all 52 cards in the deck. The 'face' cards (King, Queen, Jack) are worth more than numbered cards, and Aces are the most valuable poker cards. In 5-Card Draw, the online poker players get five cards from the dealer, one card at a time.
What is the best Poker hand?
This list is in descending order from the strongest poker hand down to the weakest poker hand
Royal Flush - five cards in sequence from the same suit from Aces downwards.
Straight Flush - Any other sequence in the same (not from aces down, but froma lower card value) suit outside the Royal Flush is called the Straight Flush or 'Straight'.
Four of a Kind - the best cards are Four Aces
Full House - A set of three poker cards and another two cards, such as three Aces and two Queens
Flush - As long the cards are from the same suit, they don't have to be in any order.
Straight - The cards are in a sequence but are from different suits.
Three of a Kind - any there cards of the same value.
Two Pair - Two doubles - like two nines and two twos.
One Pair - One double - for example, a pair of Jacks.
High Card - Highest card wins if nobody has any better hand.
Basic Rules
1) Get your poker cards.
2) Decide how many cards you want to exchange (up to 3 cards)
3) Then choose a bid:
Open: Start the online poker game by saying 'Open'.
Check : if you don't want to start the bidding.
See : match other players' bids to stay in the online poker game.
Raise : When you raise your bet, poker players will think you have a strong poker hand and hopefully this will encourage other poker players to fold.
Fold : If you have a weak hand, you will 'Fold' - leave the online poker game and lose your bet
4) Swap cards with the poker dealer after you have received your first hand of online poker cards. 5) The winner is the online poker player who gets the best hand
